DEL MAR, CA (July 24, 2016) Lung cancer patients, researchers and supporters will join Lung Cancer Foundation of America (LCFA) for a fabulous day of horse racing at the 7th annual “Day at the Races” fundraising event on Sunday, July 24 at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.
“Lung cancer receives the least amount of federal funding for all the major cancers, yet it is the number one cancer killer,” said LCFA Executive Director Jim Baranski. “There are amazing new treatment breakthroughs targeting cancer tumors that use your own immune system to fight the cancer. LCFA is here today to help raise money so life-saving cancer research that lead to these kinds of breakthroughs continue.”
